Two caribou and one yearlling moose calf were moved from the Alaska Zoo to Northwest Trek in Eatonville, Washington. The animals were crated in Anchorage, shipped via FedEx to Seattle via Oakland, California. Shannon, the zoo's curator and myself accompanied the animals and I documented the trip for the zoo. Please check my additional album of Northwest Trek itself. All we can say is this place should be a 'MUST SEE' if you are ever down in that area. Even my photos don't not even come close to doing them credit. Some of the last images in this series are that of the NWTrek folks attending to a new caribou calf born during the night. Also there are a few shots of Shannon playing with a 4 month old wolverine that is being hand raised at the facility. NOTE: Due to strict security regulations in and around FedEx facilities I was unable to take any shots of the loading or unloading at the aircraft.
